September 2025, a team of Altynalmas engineers visited South African mines to discuss design, construction, modernization (rehabilitation), and operation of mine shafts. Visitors from Kazakhstan saw headframes, hoisting equipment, surface infrastructure and heavy machinery. They visited Ivanplats’ Platreef mine, which produces platinum, gold, and palladium, and the Impala Platinum mine, located in Rustenberg, Bushveld Complex.
The Kazakh miners also visited the Bentley Training Academy of Cementation Africa, Sight Power, and UMS Group. Visitors discussed in detail the construction of headframes, the development of surface infrastructure, and the use of the latest methods for shaft diagnostics and monitoring.
